When should I book porta potties for Cherry Festival weekend?
Book porta potties for Cherry Festival weekend 7–10 days ahead. That week is one of our busiest, alongside Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. Wheelchair-accessible units, flushable units with sinks and restroom trailers need 7–14 days. The 2026 Beaumont Cherry Festival ran May 28–31, with the parade on Saturday.
The City of Beaumont sets each year's dates. Check beaumontca.gov or the festival's own posts, then call us the same week the dates come out. Friday delivery slots go first.
When will a festival weekend porta potty be dropped off and picked up?
A festival weekend porta potty arrives Friday, or Thursday when Friday is full, and is picked up Monday. You pay one flat event rate that covers up to 3 days including the weekend, with no extra-day charge. We do not deliver or pick up on Sunday, and only limited Saturday slots open up.
On parade day, streets near Beaumont Avenue close. A Saturday-morning delivery can get stuck behind barricades, so plan on Friday. Nobody needs to be home: mark the spot with a cone or stake and text us the gate code.
Do Cherry Festival food vendors need their own restrooms and handwash stations?
Food vendors usually rely on the festival organizer for restrooms, because state law calls for approved toilets and handwashing within 200 feet of a temporary food booth. Booth sinks are a separate requirement. If you run a pop-up food stand outside the festival grounds, the 200-foot rule follows you there.
That distance comes from Health and Safety Code §114315. Riverside County Environmental Health also wants restrooms with running water, soap and towels. For a vendor row, we plan 1 handwash station per 4 toilets, minimum 1. Confirm the final setup with your event organizer or the county.
How many porta potties do I need for a Cherry Festival home party?
Plan 1 porta potty per 50 guests for a party up to 4 hours. Multiply by 1.5 up to 6 hours and by 2 up to 8 hours, then add 1 unit per 4 when beer or wine is served. A 120-guest, 6-hour party with beer and wine needs 5 units, 1 wheelchair-accessible unit and 2 handwash stations.
| Party | Math | Book |
|---|---|---|
| 40 guests, 4 hours, no alcohol | 40 ÷ 50 = 0.8 → 1 | 1 standard unit |
| 60 guests, 8 hours, beer | 60 ÷ 50 = 1.2 × 2 = 2.4 → 3, +1 for alcohol | 4 units + 1 handwash station |
| 120 guests, 6 hours, beer and wine | 120 ÷ 50 = 2.4 × 1.5 = 3.6 → 4, +1 for alcohol | 5 units + 1 accessible + 2 handwash |
Try your own numbers in the porta potty calculator. If older relatives are coming, add a wheelchair-accessible unit.
Hosting during Cherry Festival weekend?
Call this week, not next. We lock in your Friday drop, Monday pickup and one flat event rate on the first call.
Can I put a porta potty out if I live on the parade route?
Yes, if the porta potty sits on your own property. Homes along the Saturday parade route on Beaumont Avenue often host 30 or more people on parade morning. Keep the unit in your driveway or yard, not on the sidewalk or street, and let it arrive Friday before the closures.
Putting anything in the public right-of-way is a city question, so confirm with the City of Beaumont first. With a crowd walking past, ask for a door hasp. You can add your own combination padlock, as long as you give us the code for pickup.
Want guests to have a sink? A flushable unit with a sink needs no hookups and fits in a two-car driveway.
