What comes with a handwash station rental?

A handwash station from Beaumont Porta Potty has 2 foot-pump basins, one on each side, so 2 people wash at once. Each handwash station holds about 20 gallons or more of fresh water and comes stocked with soap and paper towels. The station needs no power or water line.

Do I need a handwash station if food is served at my event?

Yes, food events in California need handwashing near the food. California Health & Safety Code §114315 says a food facility must be within 200 feet travel distance of an approved toilet and handwashing setup. Riverside County Environmental Health uses the same 200-foot rule in its temporary food guide. Confirm details with the county.

Measure the walk, not the straight line. 200 feet of travel distance means the path people actually take, around tents and tables.

For booth rows and fairs, see our Riverside County event restroom rules guide. Nonprofit food booths also have a count rule: 1 toilet per 15 food workers within 200 feet (HSC §114332.2).

How many handwash stations do I need?

Plan at least 1 handwash station for every 4 toilets when food is served, and never fewer than 1. A party with 4 standard units and a taco cart needs 1 station. Farm crews follow Cal/OSHA §3457: 1 toilet and 1 handwash per 20 workers, within a quarter mile or 5 minutes' walk.

Is a sanitizer station enough instead of a handwash station?

Hand sanitizer is fine for a quick party, and every standard porta potty already has a sanitizer dispenser inside. Food is different. Inspectors look for soap, running water and towels within 200 feet of the food. When food is served, rent at least 1 handwash station instead of relying on sanitizer alone.

Food booth or outage today?

Handwash stations go out the same day when you call before noon, Monday through Saturday. Tell us how many toilets you have and we size the sinks to match.

What happens to handwash station water on freezing nights?

Fresh water in a handwash station can freeze when Beaumont nights drop below 32°F. The town sits at 2,612 feet, and January lows average about 40.6°F, with colder nights in Cherry Valley and Oak Glen. Place the station where morning sun hits it, and tell us about winter dates when you book.

  1. Pick a sunny, sheltered spotAgainst a south-facing wall or out of the west wind.
  2. Tell us your datesWe plan service around a cold snap. Extra visits are available on request.
  3. Check the pedal in the morningA stiff pedal often frees up once the sun warms the station.
  4. Hot days need refills tooJuly highs average 96.3°F. Busy stations drain faster in heat.

More cold- and heat-weather tips in the Pass wind and weather guide.

Where should a handwash station go?

Put a handwash station between the porta potties and the food, on firm ground, within 200 feet travel distance of the food booths. Both sides of the handwash station need open space so 2 people can use it at once. Stake it on open lots, because Pass gusts can reach 50–60 mph.

Job sites can use one near the break area, next to the shade and drinking water crews need on hot weeks. See construction site toilets for crew setups.

Questions callers ask us

How much is just a handwashing station?

Typical 2026 starting range, not a quote: about $125–$225 for an event, delivery and pickup included.

Park event with food — do we need a sink?

Yes, plan on it. Food rules want handwashing within 200 feet of the food. Confirm with Riverside County Environmental Health.

Do you have a sanitizing station instead of a full handwash station?

Every standard unit has a sanitizer dispenser inside. For food, rent a handwash station with soap and water.

Do you have ones with a foot-pump handwash station outside?

Yes. Our handwash station sits outside the toilets and has foot pumps on both sides.

How much water does it hold?

About 20 gallons or more of fresh water. Busy events can add a refill visit.

Can I add a sink after I book?

Yes. Call or text the yard and we add it to your order and quote.
