What kinds of events do you rent porta potties for in Beaumont?
Beaumont Porta Potty sets porta potties for birthday parties, quinceañeras, church fairs, family reunions, fun runs, car shows and National Night Out block parties. Events made up about 55% of the 334 rental calls we reviewed. Most event orders need 1 to 4 units, delivered Friday and picked up Monday for one event rate.
Birthdays & quinceañeras
Backyard parties of 40–150 guests. One or two units by the side yard keep guests out of the house.
Church fairs & reunions
Parking-lot fairs and family reunions with food booths need handwash stations near the serving line.
Races & fun runs
A start/finish cluster plus a unit or two at an aid station on longer loops.
Car shows
Shows on asphalt lots get units at the edge of the lot, away from the judging rows.
National Night Out
Neighborhood block parties in early August. Short events, often 1 standard unit and 1 accessible unit.
Park events
Ball tournaments and arena events at Noble Creek Regional Park on Oak Valley Parkway.

How many porta potties do I need for my party or event?
Plan 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests for an event up to 4 hours. Multiply by 1.5 up to 6 hours, by 2 up to 8 hours and by 2.5 beyond that, then round up. A 120-guest party for 6 hours with beer and wine comes to 5 units, plus accessible and handwash add-ons.
| Guests | Up to 4 hours | Up to 6 hours | Up to 8 hours | Over 8 hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 3 |
| 100 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| 150 | 3 | 5 | 6 | 8 |
| 200 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 10 |
| 300 | 6 | 9 | 12 | 15 |
| 500 | 10 | 15 | 20 | 25 |
| Add this | When | How many |
|---|---|---|
| Extra toilets | Beer, wine or a bar | 1 more for every 4 units (round up) |
| Wheelchair-accessible unit | Any event open to guests | At least 1, and at least 5% of all units |
| Handwash station | Any food served | At least 1 for every 4 toilets |
| Accessible unit per cluster | Units split into 2+ spots | 1 in each cluster |
Do I need a wheelchair-accessible porta potty at my event?
Plan on at least 1 wheelchair-accessible porta potty for any event open to guests. The 2010 ADA Standards (§213.2) and the California Building Code (11B-213.2) set accessible toilets at 5 percent, but no fewer than one. A 20-unit event therefore needs at least 1, and every separate cluster should have its own.
Read the rule text in the U.S. Access Board ADA Standards. Our accessible units are wheelchair-accessible, built to ADA design guidelines, with a ground-level floor, wide door, grab bars and a 60-inch turning space. Confirm the exact count with your permit office or venue.
Accessible units book out first on busy weekends, so reserve them 7–14 days ahead. Details are on the wheelchair-accessible porta potty page.
Do we need a handwashing station if food is served?
Yes, plan a handwash station whenever food is served. California Health and Safety Code §114315 expects a food facility to sit within 200 feet travel distance of an approved toilet and handwashing setup. Our dispatch rule is at least 1 handwash station for every 4 toilets, with a minimum of 1.
Read HSC §114315 on California Public Law. Food booths at a church fair or a car show are checked by the county, so ask the vendor or Riverside County Environmental Health what they will look for. Each of our handwash stations has two foot-pump sinks, soap and towels.
Planning a party or fair in the Pass?
Call with your guest count, hours and whether food or drinks are served. We text an itemized event quote, usually within 15 minutes.
Do I need a City of Beaumont permit for porta potties at my event?
A private backyard party usually does not need a city permit. The City of Beaumont requires a special event permit when you close a road or right-of-way or use more than 50% of a city park. Apply at least 4 weeks ahead; the application asks whether portable toilets will be on site.
- Check if you need a city permitThe City of Beaumont asks for a special event permit to close a road or right-of-way, or to use more than half of a city park. See the city event permit page.
- Apply at least 4 weeks outThe city wants the application 4 weeks or more before the event, with proof of insurance.
- Answer the restroom questionThe form asks, “Will there be portable toilet”. Call us first so you can list the unit count and where they go.
- Book units once the date holdsFree cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before drop-off, so booking early costs you nothing if plans move.
- Send us the site mapMark the toilet spots, the food area and the gate the truck uses. We place to that map.
Only 6 of the 334 calls we reviewed asked about permits, so many organizers find out late. Confirm the rules with your permit office or venue, and see our Riverside County event restroom rules guide.
Where should the event porta potties go?
Event porta potties should sit on firm, level ground with a clear truck path, downwind of food booths and away from the serving line. Beaumont wind gusts can reach 50–60 mph, so units on open fields and parking lots get staked and doors face away from the west wind.
- Food booths
- Toilets downwind and at least a short walk away; handwash stations close to food
- Pass wind
- Doors face away from the west wind; units staked on open lots and fields
- Ground
- Firm and level; accessible units need about 7.5 × 7.5 ft of flat surface
- Truck path
- Clear lane to each spot; standard units need about a 48-inch path
- Night events
- Near existing lights or a string of lights; we can face doors toward the light
More on staking and shade in the Pass wind and weather placement guide.
Can you set restrooms for an event at Noble Creek Park?
Yes. Noble Creek Regional Park at 650 W Oak Valley Parkway has ball fields, a horse arena and a 48-site RV campground, and it hosts tournaments and community events. A large park event may need a city permit at least 4 weeks ahead, so check with the city before booking units.
Tell us which field or lot you have, and we will ask about gate times and the truck route. Stewart Park is closed for renovation through March 2027, so some groups have moved their events. Weekend events get a Friday drop-off and a Monday pickup.
