How does the season change a porta potty rental in Beaumont?

Beaumont sits at 2,612 feet, so a porta potty rental faces 96°F July highs, freezing winter nights and Pass winds gusting 50–60 mph. Each season changes how often we service, where we place the unit and how far ahead you should book. The month-by-month table shows what we adjust.

When are porta potties hardest to book in the Pass?

Porta potties are hardest to book during Cherry Festival week in late May and on Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day weekends. Those dates fill 7 to 10 days ahead. Accessible units, flushable units and restroom trailers need 7 to 14 days any time of year.

Weekend events get a Friday drop-off and a Monday pickup, or Tuesday after a holiday Monday. See our festival porta potty page for big summer events.

Do porta potties need more service in the summer heat?

Yes. In July, Beaumont averages a 96.3°F high, and heat speeds up odor and fills tanks faster on busy crews. Weekly service is included; crews of more than 10 people per unit should add a second weekly visit from June through September. Place units in shade when you can.

Cal/OSHA heat rules (8 CCR §3395) call for shade above 80°F and high-heat steps at 95°F. Plan water and shade for crews, not only restrooms. More in the Cal/OSHA toilet rules guide.

What happens to porta potties in Pass wind season?

Pass west winds bring gusts of 50 to 60 mph, most often in spring, and Santa Ana wind events add fall and winter gusts. We stake every unit on open lots, ridges and new tracts and turn doors away from the wind. Not one of 334 callers we reviewed asked about wind.

Tipped units are messy and can be billed when caused by others, so let us stake them. Read the Pass wind, heat and freeze placement guide.

Planning around the season?

Tell us the dates, crew size or guest count, and we will match service visits and placement to the weather in the Pass.

Do porta potties freeze in Beaumont winters?

Porta potty tanks and handwash water can freeze on Pass nights below 32°F, mostly from December to February. January lows average 40.6°F, and Beaumont sees about 1.3 inches of snow a year. On cold weeks we add a non-toxic brine to tanks and sink water at service.

If a handwash station freezes, call the yard and we will swap or thaw it on the next route. Units on canyon roads may move to a route day after snow.

Do you rent porta potties for Oak Glen apple season?

Yes. Oak Glen apple orchards peak for u-pick in October, and farm stands and orchards add restrooms for weekend crowds. Oak Glen runs on route days from our Highway 60 yard, so book at least 2 to 3 days ahead, and 7 to 14 days for accessible units.

Orchard crews follow Cal/OSHA field sanitation rules: 1 toilet and 1 handwash station per 20 workers. See the farm and ranch porta potty page.

Can you provide restrooms during wildfire season or an evacuation?

Yes. Wildfire season in the Pass runs hottest from July through fall. The 2020 Apple Fire burned 33,424 acres and forced more than 7,800 people out of Cherry Valley, Banning Bench and Oak Glen. We can stage restroom trailers and handwash stations for shelters on request.

Call before noon for same-day delivery while units last. See the emergency restroom rental page for outages and shelters.

Seasonal rental questions

Can I rent a porta potty just for the summer?

Yes. Seasonal rentals run on 28-day cycles with weekly service. Typical 2026 starting range, not a quote: about $195–$285 per standard unit per cycle. See the cost guide.

We need it a few weeks, then not, then again. How does that work?

Each rental runs on its own 28-day cycle. Call for pickup when you are done, and call again when you need it back.

How early should I book for Memorial Day or July 4?

Book 7 to 10 days ahead. Accessible units, flushable units and trailers need 7 to 14 days.

Will prices be the same if I book after the holiday?

Pricing follows unit, distance, dates, service and quantity. Ask for a written quote for both dates.

Can I add a second weekly service in July?

Yes. Extra visits can be added on request. We suggest it for crews over 10 people per unit in summer.

Does a holiday Monday change pickup?

Yes. After a holiday Monday, event pickups move to Tuesday. We do not deliver or pick up on Sundays.
