How far is Palm Desert from your yard, and how fast can you deliver?
Palm Desert is about 50 minutes from our Highway 60 yard, east on I-10 past Palm Springs. Street addresses mostly use ZIPs 92260 and 92211. Palm Desert rides our scheduled desert route, so book 2–3 days ahead. Same-day works only when a truck is already running the valley and has room.

Which restroom fits a Palm Desert country club or backyard event?
Most Palm Desert hosts pick by guest count and setting. A backyard party of 50 guests for 4 hours needs 1 standard porta potty. For a club-style dinner, a VIP flushing cabin or a 2-stall restroom trailer looks right. Trailers need level ground, a 120V outlet and a garden hose.

Do I need a Palm Desert permit for a temporary event with restrooms?
Palm Desert uses a Temporary Use Permit for special events of not more than 72 consecutive hours. The city says normal review takes 1 to 3 days. Tents over 400 square feet need building approval, and a generator for a restroom trailer may need a temporary generator permit. Confirm details with your permit office.
See the city's Palm Desert special events permit page. If you serve food, keep restrooms and handwashing within 200 feet of the food (California Health & Safety Code §114315).

How do I plan restrooms for a party during BNP Paribas Open weeks?
The BNP Paribas Open runs February 28 to March 14, 2027, at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden next door to Palm Desert. More than 500,000 fans come each year. We do not supply the tournament itself. We do supply private parties nearby, and those weeks fill fast, so book 7–10 days ahead.
Guests at watch parties tend to stay longer. A 40-guest party for 8 hours with drinks works out to 40 ÷ 50 = 0.8 × 2 = 1.6, round up to 2, plus 1 for the bar = 3 standard units. Add a handwash station if food is served.
How does 105°F heat affect a porta potty in Palm Desert?
Palm Desert averages 105.8°F in July and gets under 3 inches of rain a year. Dry heat helps nothing inside a closed unit. Keep the roof vent clear, face the door away from afternoon sun, and add a second weekly service for summer crews of 10 or more workers.
Crews also need shade and water. See the Cal/OSHA heat illness rule (8 CCR §3395), and our seasonal rental page for summer service plans.
